How to Buy A Genuine Music Instrument?

Today I am going to help you with my experience in buying a genuine Yamaha music instrument. Do not buy a music instrument without reading this.
I am a Music Teacher and I personally hear many of my students say that they were cheated purchasing a music instrument. So here are some guidelines that helps you to purchase the genuine music instrument.

Where to Buy?

Buying from the authorised music dealer is important.
I hear many of the customers saying I bought it from grey market or online websites.
Yamaha does not give warranty if the keyboard is purchased online. I will tell you the reason for this in detail below. So Never buy the keyboard from unauthorised source.
Yamaha gives 3 years warranty for the music instrument and this warranty is valid only in the country you live in. So never buy the keyboard from other countries during your vacation or business trip.
So, If you are in India purchase from Indian sellers.

How to find the authorised music dealer?

1. Authorised music dealers are given with a certificate. Check for the certificate when you visit a music store.
2. Yamaha Customer Care Support is very dedicative. Yamaha has a big network and there are big team working for them.  Call Yamaha Ph: +91 124 485 3300

Why No warranty for online purchase?

Yamaha is very particular about the quality. Yamaha is trying hard to stop duplicating their own products. Still, there are some duplicate or replica Yamaha adaptor is manufactured and supplied for low price.

Most of the keyboards comes with FREE original Yamaha adaptor but some sellers remove the original adaptor from the box and sell the keyboard with the duplicate adaptor.
The original music keyboard adaptor cost between 1700-4000 Indian rupees.
The duplicate music keyboard adaptor cost 150-200 Indian rupees.

When you play with duplicate music adaptor, there are lots of chances for the keyboard mother board to get damaged. This is one of the reason why Yamaha doesn't give warranty for online purchase.
